Description
King Ludwig II of Bavaria has called all great architects to design his greatest achievement: a world-renowned Palace. Only the best will do! gorgeous appointments, white stone, surrounded by water, with swans everywhere. Oh, and the Ludwig touch? all the architects must design the Palace together. The designer who shows the strongest influence will receive the order to build it. In the Palace of Mad King Ludwig, each player builds rooms one at a time in a single gigantic Palace. As rooms are completed, a moat slowly forms around the outside. Once the ends of the moat connect, the Palace is finished! arrange and complete different room types, while leveraging clever placement of swans. The player who contributes the most to the Palace wins the game!.
Gameplay
Build an epic 50 room palace!
In The Palace of Mad King Ludwig, you and your fellow players will build a giant palace from dozens of unique, colorful rooms. Ludwig always changes what aspect of Palace building he'll give you the most points for, so each game will be different.
On your turn, you'll add a room to the palace, marking it as your contribution. In the process, you might earn swans, complete other rooms, and expand the moat as it slowly surrounds the palace.

Ludwig built several castles, and planned to build a palace of enormous proportions before his untimely death in 1886.
What's in the Box
Player Blueprints boards
Each player has their own custom Blueprints board which tracks their contribution to the palace, and provides a way to receive a variety of special enhancements and abilities.
Over 300 Swan tokens
Swans are both the Palace currency and a way to score a lot of points at the end of the game. Collect sets of different colored swans to score the most points, including secret swans that only you know about.
The Palace Garden board
The giant board is the start place for your palace, and stores all the room, moat, and favor tiles as well as providing a lake for the swans.

Royal Bodyguard Room
The Mad King needs bodyguards, and what better way to keep them happy (thus preventing a coup) than by giving them their own room in the palace?
